Kingdoms
First of all, do NOT invest in kingdoms until you can afford to push your morale well above 5.00%. If you're just starting out, we do NOT recommend you invest alot in a kingdom. Wait until you can afford to buy one of the best guards and can keep your kingdom safe from attackers.
Pay Serfs is used to raise morale in a kingdom and Bribe Serfs is used to lower morale. It is more expensive to lower morale than to raise it and you cannot Bribe Serfs to get the morale below 50%. However, if you are the King of a kingdom, both Bribe and Pay Serfs will increase your morale.
Recently, treasury in kingdoms has been changed so now whatever gold you have in your treasury will go up .4% every hour.
Note: If you have an kingdom that is not well defended and has a very high morale, do NOT expect that no one will steal it from you. It is not against the rules to take over another person's kingdom and steal gold from them, even if you don't even know the king. Do not assume that it is safe just because you want it to be. You are allowed to embezzle money from a kingdom as often as you like, but you can only deposit 5 times per 24 hours. When you first become king of a kingdom, your everything in your kingdom is at 0, unless a previous king had invested and built walls, moats, cannons, etc. Your population and morale will climb each hour, granted you have enough food to feed your population. If you don't feed your population, your morale will go down and you'll have to work your morale up again. Once your population reaches 10'000, you will no longer have to feed your people. However, your morale will no longer rise after 10k population is reached either. You have to pay gold to raise your morale, but your peasants will feed themselves.
Once your morale is at 5.00%, other people can no longer incite a coup on your kingdom. To take your kingdom over after it's at 5.00%, they can either kill your guard which brings your morale down so they can incite a coup, or bribe your peasants, or wage war. You have to invest A LOT of gold into a kingdom to ensure it's safety (and your treasury's too).
Kingdoms also have a feature of storing Runes. Runes currently function to help a kingdom defend against incoming attacks (attack a kingdom that has runes and a large army and you'll find you have extreme losses) and are also used in high level crafting and chanting.
